Extract Odd or Even Pages from a PDF
Need only pages 1, 3, 5 … or 2, 4, 6 …? Extract PDF Pages has an odd-pages and an even-pages mode. The pages are copied unchanged into a new PDF.
How to Extract Odd or Even Pages
- Open Extract PDF Pages Add your PDF – you can also add several PDFs.
- Choose the mode Under "Selection mode" choose "Odd pages" or "Even pages".
- Choose the output One PDF, separate PDFs for each page, or JPG images.
- Download The new file contains only the selected pages, in their original order.
When This Is Useful
Manual double-sided printing
Print the odd pages, turn the stack over and print the even pages.
Remove every other page
Keeping the odd pages removes all even pages – for example blank back sides from a duplex scan.
Separate fronts and backs
Split a duplex scan into fronts and backs, then fix them in Organize PDF.
Other selections
The same tool extracts a page range or a custom list such as 1,3,5-8.
No quality loss
Pages are copied as they are – text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.

- Odd and even refer to the page position in the file, not to printed page numbers.
