Is DonePDF free?
Yes. All tools are free to use, without an account and without a watermark on your files.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
Most tools work in your browser, so your file never leaves your device. A few tools need our server, for example Office conversion, OCR, PDF/A and Repair PDF. Those files are deleted automatically after processing. Each tool page says which way it works.
Is there a file size limit?
Each tool shows its limit in the upload box; for most tools it is between 50 and 150 MB. Very large files also depend on the memory of your device.
Can I convert PDF to Word, Excel or PowerPoint?
Yes. PDF to Word, PDF to Excel and PDF to PowerPoint create editable Office files, and Word, Excel and PowerPoint to PDF work the other way round.
Can I edit the text of a PDF?
Edit PDF lets you add text, images, shapes and signatures. For a scanned document, make the text searchable with OCR PDF first, or convert the PDF to Word to change longer passages.
Do I need to install anything?
No. DonePDF runs in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on computers, tablets and phones.
