Fix the Page Order of a Scanned PDF
Document feeders often produce PDFs that are backwards, have the back sides at the end, or contain sideways and blank pages. You do not have to scan again: rearrange, reverse, rotate and delete pages in your browser and download the corrected file.
How to Fix a Scanned PDF
- Open the scan in Organize PDF Every page is shown as a thumbnail, so you can see at a glance what is out of place.
- Drag pages into order Drag a thumbnail to its correct position. Delete blank sheets with the trash icon.
- Rotate sideways pages Use the rotate buttons on a page, or select several pages and rotate them together.
- Download and check Download the PDF and scroll through it once before you share or archive it.

The whole scan is backwards
Last page first? Reverse PDF flips the order of all pages in one step.
Back sides scanned separately
Scanned fronts and then backs? Add the second file with "Merge" in Organize PDF and drag each back page behind its front page. If the backs came out backwards, reverse that file first.
Odd and even pages in two files
To separate odd and even pages again, use Extract Odd or Even Pages.
Make the scan searchable
Scans contain no text. After fixing the order, OCR PDF can add a searchable text layer.

Why are my scanned pages out of order?
Many feeders output pages in reverse order, and single-sided feeders put all back sides after the fronts. Misfeeds can also duplicate or skip sheets.
Can the tool sort pages automatically?
No. You arrange the pages by dragging the thumbnails. Reverse PDF can flip a completely backwards scan in one step.
Will reordering reduce the scan quality?
No. The pages are copied unchanged, so resolution and colours stay the same.
Can I remove blank pages?
